"The Soul is Like a Cavern Which Christ Purifies As He Pours His Life Within It In Prayer"
by Elizabeth Wangcopyright (c) Radiant Light 1999 www.radiantlight.org.uk
“I have set my rainbow in the clouds. This will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth itself”
(Genesis 9:8-17).
"It’s amazing that we never noticed that. The fact that the covenant was with every living creature and with the earth itself, we forgot. So every time you see a rainbow, you can think of that promise of God to be in an eternal bond of love with everything that God created,
and not just humans."

The Wylam and District Churches Summer Club this year presents ‘Showstoppers’; a Bible programme that incorporates the creative arts.
The club will be held on the 18th 19th 20th August from 10.00 until 12.00 noon.
Joanne is currently looking for volunteers to help at the club with registration, refreshments, leading small groups or assisting leaders. If you are able to help out on one or more of the mornings please contact Joanne Birkett.
A briefing for all those involved in the club will take place at the Methodist Church on Tuesday 17th August 7.00 – 8.00 pm.
Anna, Mia, Anna May and Ellen, children from our Parish, made their 1st Holy Communions on Sunday 18th July
at the 9.30am Mass.
16 children from St. Agnes RC Primary School made their
1st Holy Communions on Sunday 20th June
at the 9.30am Mass.
We pray that this day will be the beginning of a new and deeper friendship with Jesus. May you be filled with the joy that Saint Peter talks about in his letter when he says:
“Although you have not seen Him, you love Him and even though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and rejoice with an indescribable and glorious joy."

every month. New members are very welcome.

God of life, bless our days.
Keep us alive and in love. Keep us listening.
Keep us growing, Mother-God. Keep drawing us closer to you.
Help our words, Father-God, not to get in the way of your Spirit.
Help the words we use not become too many or too confusing.
Our faith, Holy One, is in you
and not in any words or in any teaching.
We just want these words to open us up to you
and to your Spirit among us.
the companion you have given us for our journey toward you.
As St. Bernard prayed, “Jesus, you are honey in our mouth.
You are music in our ear. You are a leap of joy in our heart.”
Amen
